🎃 “The Curse of Whittier Cemetery” Long ago, Whittier Avenue was just a dirt path leading to an orchard on the edge of town. But one stormy Halloween night, lightning struck the orchard’s great oak—splitting it in two—and the ground beneath began to heave. From the cracked earth rose an ancient graveyard that had been buried and forgotten for more than a century. The townsfolk who dared to look said they could hear whispers from the soil… and smell pumpkin rot on the wind. They say the lightning awoke the Pumpkin King, a massive, rotting creature stitched together from the vines of cursed pumpkins. Every Halloween, he rises again to call his army of the restless—zombies, witches, and werewolves—to protect his haunted harvest from anyone who dares to set foot on his soil. The witches circle the cemetery’s dead trees, chanting spells to keep the veil between worlds thin. The werewolves prowl the shadows of Whittier Ave, guarding the gates and howling under the blood-red moon. The zombies drag their bones through the fog, pulled by the Pumpkin King’s unholy heartbeat, echoing through the roots below. By day, Whittier Ave looks calm. But when the sun sets, the ground stirs again. The dead remember. The vines tighten. And the Pumpkin King demands one more Halloween harvest…
